Professional landscaping anchors a house to the site, connects it with the environment and creates a welcoming entrance to a home. Garden designers work with living plants as well as building materials, so they are designing for future growth and maintenance as well as the present. Landscape is also regional, so you want to find a Georgia designer that's familiar with the area, Georga climate and plants that do well in our area.
Kathy Harrigan will analyze your architecture and yard to produce a plan that can include walkways, patios, water features, fences, garden aspects and more. Kathy will carefully assess your geographic region to choose plants, trees and flowers that will flourish naturally, as well as address concerns such as drainage, screening and soil conditions. Certain landscape designers only help with landscape planning, some may deliver the plans and then oversee a hired landscape contractor. Kathy will take care of both the design and installation of the landscape construction.
Kathy Harrigan was born in Atlanta and raised in the Smyrna / Marietta Area.
Her
grandmother owned a flower shop where her mother worked since before Kathy was born. Kathy was raised by women who loved to "dig in the dirt", and that is where she inherited her love for plants and flowers. Kathy attended Kennesaw State and expanded her love for horticulture and design. She maintains the Memorial Garden at the Cobb County Police Dept. as a volunteer and in March 2011 was presented a Citizen Commendation for her work. Kathy is a Mother of six and a grandmother of two. She is hands on in the design and installation of all of herprojects.
Pots & Plants have been offering customized landscape design for the discerning residential property owner for over 15 years. In all projects, our goals are fairly simple, but clearly defined. We believe all landscapes should match a client's vision, be enthusiastically enjoyed upon completion, and add value to the property. In achieving these goals, the design process should be enjoyable and inspiring with all aspects of a project considered and discussed from the start. At the end, the landscape should be compatible with your lifestyle, compliment and support the architecture of your home and surroundings, and most significantly ... make you happy to be there. |
